His clinical work included group homes, public schools, and community outpatient mental health clinics where he worked with underserved diverse populations. Upon graduating, Dr. Shepard secured a job at a community mental health agency known as Richmond Area Multi Services. During his 10 years at RAMS, he provided therapy to teenagers, consultation to parents and teachers, as well as family therapy to teens and their parents. While working at RAMS, Dr. Shepard expanded his clinical work by joining Therapy Now SF, a group practice located in San Francisco. At Therapy Now SF, he provided therapy to adults and couples, both in person and via telehealth, as well as provided supervision to psychological assistants. Dr. Shepard has 13 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. His approach to therapy is integrative, including approaches such as narrative, solution-focused, systems, CBT, ACT, attachment theory and psychodynamic.
