Dr. Julie Sanchez is a licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist (PSY31013) with a strong commitment to cultural competence, social advocacy, and comprehensive psychological care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2005 and returned to the San Fernando Valley to begin her career in social work, dedicating herself to supporting underserved communities. In this early work, she assisted clients in securing special education services, non-public school placements, and residential treatment, as well as accessing Regional Center services, Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), In-Home Support Services (IHSS), legal resources, housing support, and medication management. Her hands-on experience as a group home counselor, DCFS social worker, case manager, and family advocate laid a solid foundation for her clinical work.
Dr. Sanchez earned her Doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2014. She has since worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults, offering individual, group, family, and couples therapy in both English and Spanish. Her clinical specialties include complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, prenatal alcohol exposure, severe and persistent mental illness, crisis intervention, and intergenerational trauma. She is trained in evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, mindfulness, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP).
Dr. Sanchez is currently the Director of Assessments at Ubuntu Psychological Services, where she conducts and oversees evaluations for autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, learning disabilities, mental health disorders, immigration cases, and pre-surgical psychological clearances. In addition to her clinical work, she supervises, trains, and oversees all psychological associates and practicum students at the agency who are pursuing licensure as psychologists. She is passionate about mentorship and professional development, fostering a learning environment grounded in ethics, competence, and cultural humility.
Her forensic experience includes conducting Mentally Disordered Offender (MDO) evaluations for the California Department of Corrections and preparing integrative reports for the parole board. She also conducts psychological evaluations for the Mental Health Diversion Program through the San Bernardino County Office of the Public Defender, helping to determine appropriate treatment alternatives for individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

Dr. Maul-Jones (LPCC14528) is an experienced therapist that is committed to cultural awareness, advocacy, empathy, and empowerment. Dr. Maul-Jones lived and worked in Liberia, West Africa where she provided guidance and counseling for survivors of war crimes. She spawned training in trauma counseling, conflict mediation, and crisis intervention using non-violent communication that was culturally designed for a diverse population. Dr. Maul-Jones generated and implemented the first degree in Guidance and Counseling in Liberia, West Africa. Consequently, she taught, trained and mentored the first graduates to attain a bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling in Liberia, West Africa. Dr. Wing is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY35597) specializing in neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental evaluations. She is a graduate of the Tulane University School Psychology Ph.D program, where she completed her pre-doctoral training in various settings (e.g., schools, hospital systems) focusing on developmental science and neurodevelopmental assessment. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where she received additional comprehensive and brief assessment training within their University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) program.
She went on to complete a two-year, post-doctoral fellowship in Sports/TBI Neuropsychology in UCLA’s Steve Tisch BrainSPORT program. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working with an extensive population that ranges from adult drug and alcohol abuse, victims of trauma, and transitional-age youth to chronically ill patients and their families. I have held the positions of Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Program Director, contributing to the development and expansion of the program curriculum. I am a professor at California Baptist University, teaching in the Department of Psychology. I am passionate about facilitating, training, and teaching people from all walks of life how to improve their mental and emotional health.
I have focused much of my attention on the healthy emotional development and well-being of women, children, and families. I have developed a “Cultural Humility Training for Medical Professionals that serve African American Women with Lupus.” I have been a panelist on multiple occasions, speaking on mental health issues and the importance of emotional well-being.
