Healing Rooted in Culture, Connection, and Community

At Ubuntu, therapy isn’t just about coping, it’s about becoming. We believe therapy should feel like a reclamation: of your peace, your story, your voice.

What makes our approach different

Therapy at Ubuntu blends clinical expertise with culturally responsive care, creating space for real healing, on your terms. Whether you're facing grief, anxiety, or transition, we’re here to support your growth with compassion and clarity. We believe therapy should be:

Collaborative

You’re the expert on your life. We bring the tools and insight to help guide your process, but you’re in the driver’s seat.

Evidence-based

Our clinicians use proven therapeutic modalities like CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Culturally Responsive

We take your lived experience into account, including how your identity, background, and environment shape the way you move through the world.

Strengths-Oriented

We don’t just look at what’s “wrong.” We help you rediscover what’s right—your values, resilience, and inner wisdom.

Whole-Person Focused

Your mental health is connected to your body, relationships, work, spirituality, and community. We support all of it.

Safe and Supportive

Whether this is your first time in therapy or your tenth, we create a nonjudgmental space where you can unpack what’s real, raw, and ready for transformation.

Will the provider complete or sign disability forms?

Disability forms are reviewed and considered on a case-by-case basis. The provider will determine whether completion is clinically appropriate based on your treatment progress and the specific requirements of the form.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself, therapy can help. You don’t need to be “at rock bottom” to benefit. Therapy offers tools, perspective, and support through life’s changes and challenges.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions for clients across California (and other states, depending on licensure)

What issues do you specialize in?

Our clinicians work with a wide range of concerns—anxiety, depression, racial trauma, relationship struggles, grief, burnout, and more. Many of our clients are professionals, caregivers, creatives, or students navigating identity, stress, and high expectations.

Do you offer Bilingual Services?

We are pleased to offer services in Spanish (Español). If you are a Spanish-speaking client, please let your therapist know at the beginning of your session so accommodations can be made.

Is Ubuntu Psychological Services a Crisis Center?

Ubuntu is not a crisis center. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. Our services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
